Writing Effective Descriptions
The quality of your storyboard depends on how well you describe your scenes. Here's how to write descriptions that work:
✓ Use clear, visual language
Describe what you see in your mind's eye
✓ Include camera movements
e.g., "camera slowly pushes in" or "wide shot pulls back"
✓ Describe characters and their actions
Who is in the scene and what are they doing?
✓ Mention atmosphere and mood
Is it peaceful, dramatic, mysterious, energetic?
✓ Specify time of day and lighting
Morning sunlight, golden hour, dim lighting, etc.
Example Description:
"The camera slowly pushes in as sunlight filters through tree branches, casting dappled light on a tranquil lake. A young entrepreneur stands by the water's edge, holding a laptop, gazing determinedly into the distance."
